Our Story

In June 1998, TransCanada Turbines (TCT) was founded with a Head Office located in Calgary, Alberta and at the time was owned as a joint venture with John Wood Group Holding B.V (Wood Group) and TC Energy Corporation (TC Energy). In November 2020, Wood Group sold it’s 50% equity stake to TC Energy group and is now the sole owner of TCT.

TCT is the sole authorized overhaul, repair, and maintenance provider for General Electric and Siemens Energy aeroderivative industrial gas turbines, serving an expanding international client base. TCT operates an overhaul depot in Airdrie, Alberta with a testing facility in Calgary, Alberta, and field service locations around the world.

We achieve our exceptional service to our customers through our people.

Our Head Office located in the City of Airdrie which is conveniently located 30-minutes north of the City of Calgary. TCT also operates a Test Cell Facility located near the Calgary Airport and operates our Component Repair facility in the CrossPointe Industrial area of Balzac, Alberta.

In addition to our Canada operations, TCT proudly operates facilities across the US and UK.
